My childhood was, to put it simply, chaotic. My mother moved around a lot, following relationships with men or just to start over. I was devastated that I didn't have a relationship with my biological father; my mother abruptly moved to the west coast when I was four. This eventually led to us relocating to England after she met a man online who would end up becoming my stepfather. Their relationship was highly toxic and unstable, and I was placed into boarding school.

I struggled to maintain a sense of belonging within my friend groups. I would spend a lot of my lunch breaks in the library or hiding in bathroom stalls. Looking back, I realized that I was mirroring my mother's behavior and I would tend to act out, relishing in any attention I could receive.

In my early twenties, I decided to move back to America permanently after a toxic relationship had finally taken its toll on my mental health. I didn’t realize it at the time, but moving back was going to change my life. I went on a journey to find my biological father, and he had just been admitted to the hospital when we finally met. He would die very soon afterwards, but I knew that the universe had been preparing me for that meeting since childhood.

Experiencing this sense of divine timing ushered in much needed spiritual growth and healing. I started deeply connecting to my own spirituality, realizing that I had so much intuitive ability that I had suppressed. I was able to find a mother in the wind and the trees. I was able to set boundaries, regardless of how painful they were. I was able to forge a divine partnership, take leaps of faith and create my spiritual business. I had found my purpose.
